Inspired by Hiroshige Utagawa This is "Takeshita-dori (Takeshita Street)" in Harajuku, one of the most famous sightseeing spots in contemporary Tokyo. Hiroshige painted 118 famous places in Edo at that time, and if he had to choose 118 famous places in contemporary Tokyo, this street would definitely be chosen. The building depicted at the end of the street is a tower building built on the site of the former "Palais France". The Palais France was a fashion building that opened in 1974 and is said to be the beginning of Takeshita-dori shopping street. Although there was no direct relationship with France, the longing for the glamorous French fashion world has continued in the bustle of Takeshita-dori to the present day.
